CATEGORY: Business

I only recently started to get involved in Facebook groups, and my only regret is that I didn’t join more earlier. The amount of support, advice, and lead opportunities in these groups is amazing, and in the few short weeks I’ve been a part of a few groups I have already managed to receive a client and many inquiries from being authentic and helpful. If you’re not already a part of groups, I highly recommend joining some as soon as possible. Plus, if you need some referrals, check out 6 of my favorite Facebook groups below.

Favorite Facebook groups for bloggers, creatives, and entrepreneurs

1. Business Bombshells

Group description:
Welcome to the Business Bombshells community! This group was created for creatives, entrepreneurs, small business owners, and bloggers to come together in a positive, friendly, supportive environment.

Why this group is on my list:
I am the founder of Business Bombshells, so obviously I’d include this on my list! However, all jokes aside, this group is unlike any other that you’ll find. I created Business Bombshells after realizing most groups are so overrun with rules and restrictions that you never know what you can or can’t do there. In Business Bombshells, though, I won’t delete comments or posts that are self-promoting, and I most definitely will not block members altogether for trying to get their business a step further. If you’re looking for a fun, supportive group to join where you can post freely and help out your peers, Business Bombshells is for you!

How to join:
Subscribe to Modern Luxe Creative’s newsletter (optional!) then request to join. You can sign up for the newsletter here and find the Business Bombshells Facebook group here.

2. The Rising Tide Society

Group description:
Welcome to the Rising Tide Society’s Facebook Group! We believe in educating and empowering Creatives Entrepreneurs to thrive in the spirit of Community over Competition. The purpose of this group is to give all creatives (both men & women!) a daily place to check in with their colleagues, participate in group discussion, ask questions, and seek positive support.

Why this group is on my list:
The Rising Tide Society is a huge community of like-minded creatives and business owners, and their Facebook group just reached over 20,000 members! Due to the high volume of members, there is always something going on, a way to get involved, and people to provide you with advice. Additionally, The Rising Tide Society hosts TuesdaysTogether in hundreds of cities across the states (and world), which is a great way to network and meet your peers.

How to join:

3. Savvy Business Owners

Group description:
This is a private group for women who are or want to be Savvy Business Owners.

Why this group is on my list:
This group is overrun with friendly, caring, and intelligent business owners, so it’s a must if you run your own business! It is 99% (if not all) women, but it’s a great outlet for advice, feedback, support, and referrals.

Why this group is on my list:
Run by Melyssa Griffin, owner of The Nectar Collective, this group is overflowing with helpful advice, tools, resources, and support. This group has many members looking for blogging advice and ways to grow their following, traffic, etc. Melyssa also offers a few very helpful e-courses and periodic webinars, so I recommend joining so that you don’t miss out on any of her fantastic advice!

5. Campfire

Why this group is on my list:
First, I love the name! Seriously, though, this group is full of genuine, caring members who are always willing to help out. The owner, Sarah Hart, also offers advice and updates on all things branding and design. If you’re looking for advice on how to beautify your business, this is a great group to join.

6. Screw the Nine to Five Community

Group description:
Welcome to the Screw the Nine to Five Community! This group is designed to help surround you with people who “get” you.People who understand your dreams. People who are here to answer questions, give feedback and provide support. People who are here to talk you off the ledge if you feel like giving up. And most importantly this group is for people who are hell-bent on taking their 9-to-5’s and screwing them!

Why this group is on my list:
This group is different from the rest on the list because this group is solely focused on people who want to start a business on the side or want to quit their 9 to 5 and run their own business full-time. If you’re struggling to take the leap into the world of freelancing, this group is for you! It’s full of positive, passionate members who are always there to provide a shoulder to lean on through support, encouragement, and advice.
